Access and MapThere is a public footpath that runs along the length of Devil's Dyke. There are also several paths that lead to and from the Dyke, creating convenient circular walks. The Devil's Dyke Restoration Project encourages visitors to use public transport whenever possible. Listed below are suggested ways of accessing Devil's Dyke.
The whole Dyke is shown on Ordnance Survey Landranger Map 154.
Visitors are reminded that bicycles are not permitted along the Devil's Dyke as they can cause significant damage to the monument, particularly on the slopes. Dog walkers are also reminded to use the dog litterbins that are provided at various points along the Dyke. Leaflets about Devil's Dyke that include a map as well as plenty of useful information about wildlife & history of the monument are now available free of charge. These can either be downloaded here or requested via e-mail. They are also available at local libraries & Tourist Information Centres at Newmarket and Cambridge. A Devil's Dyke Walks leaflet can also be obtained from Cambridgeshire County Council's Countryside Services Team. Please call 01223 717445. The leaflet is also available here in a variety of fomats. As the leaflet is designed to be folded some of the text in the pdf and jpeg versions appears upside down. The figures in brackets below give the approximate file size. An online text only version is also available.
